The White Mountains, New Hampshire - Day 2...

It is a long weekend as Monday is Memorial Day so we decided to drive to the White Mountains for the weekend. In case you are wondering where "Day One" post is, hmmm...well, on the way to the Mountains...we passed by a BIG FACTORY OUTLET...and really, I didn't know where the time, oh...and money went...so Day 1 is basically just shopping at the outlets and driving to the Mountains!

Tanger Outlets...there are so many shops and best of all....the shopping here is TAX FREE! By the time we reached the Mountains after the shopping, it was already night. We just went for dinner and headed back to our resort for the night.

We stayed at The Lodge at Lincoln Station. It is a studio unit with kitchenette. A decent place, nothing fanciful. But we have a really nice view...

Lil' Angel wandering out to the balcony to enjoy the beautiful view...

Daddy and Lil' Angel looking at the flowing river below...

The superb view from our balcony! Mountains, river and trees....

Of cos we just had to take some nice pictures with such a beautiful background...

I couldn't resist giving my Bebe a BIG KISS...

And Lil' Angel gave me a Big, Wet Kiss too!

We went to Maccas for breakfast...Lil' Angel had her first Maccas' hotcakes and she liked it!

Off to see the Flume Gorge! The Flume Gorge offers a 2-mile spectacular walk through a natural chasm, over covered bridges and past waterfalls, a scenic pool and mountain views...

A Moose! I am not scared of you, Moose! I will zap and turn you into a toad!

Of cos Lil' Angel wouldn't do that...the Moose is too cute!

We've got some trekking to do before we can see the Flume...and we forgot to bring the baby carrier! Ooohhh...our poor arms...

At the start of the trail...

The Table Rock behind us...

Spring water!
Lil' Angel examining the tree stumps...

A nice picture with Daddy...

And Mommy!

Lil' Angel enjoying the nature...

Description of how the Flume was formed...

Long flight of stairs! But it was really awesome as you can see the water gushing just below the steps!

Almost there!

At the top of the Avalanche Falls!

I love the sound of waterfalls!

Didn't find any bears in the cave...
In touch with Mother Nature...so serene and calm. It's great to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life once in a while...
The Avalanche Falls behind us...

Oooh...aching arms...time for Lil' Angel to walk...but oops...she is wearing her new shoes! Ahhhhh! I hope they won't be spoilt by the pebbly and uneven grounds!

In the end...I decided to carry her again. Rather sacrifice my poor arms than to let her shoes spoil...tsk tsk! See how happy she is too?

Off we go into the woods now...

Picture time!

The trees are so tall and their trunks are thin...

Daddy playing with Lil' Angel...but she looked like she is falling asleep...

Ok...then Daddy shall give Lil' Angel a goodnight kiss...

There...off to slumber land!

Going across to the other side...

Spectacular view from the bridge...

Waving to Daddy!

Nope...no wolves in the den...

Scenic lookout...

A big glacial boulder!

End of the trail...arrrgh...my poor arms!!! And Lil' Angel is still sound asleep!

She must be very tired...she must have had slept for 45 minutes...and in the most uncomfortable position!

Next to Franconia Notch to take the Tram/Gondola up the Mountain...

The 80-passenger aerial tramway whisks you above timberline to the 4,200-foot summit for outstanding views of the White Mountains and into Maine, Vermont and even Canada.

The view when we were halfway up the mountain...that's Echo Lake...

In the tram. Look Daddy...I can hold on to the handle too!

Lil' Angel playing with Daddy...

We have reached the top!

It's much cooler up here! It is actually a ski slope in winter! Let's put on our hoods!

We are enjoying the fresh, cool air and breathtaking scenery!

That's what we were looking at....moutains as far as Vermont, Maine, New York and Canada!

Hmmm..what is Lil' Angel waiting for?

Ohhhh...the tram! There it is...

I love to hug my Lil' Angel!

There are still some ice left...

Slippery ice as they are melting...

We are at the TOP OF THE WORLD! If you look closely...you will be able to see the chair lift behind us...

Time to go down the mountain...

Into the tram again...

Mommy....why did you place me on the table?? Come and rescue me, Daddy!

Lil' Angel having lots of fun on Daddy's shoulders...

Daddy was running around and Lil' Angel was so thrilled!

I love riding on Daddy!
I shall pick some flowers for Mommy...

I hope Mommy likes them...

Mommy...here I come!

Relaxing with Mommy on the grass...

Look Mommy, Look Daddy...

The tram is making its way up again!

We are at Echo Lake...the lake which we saw on the way up the mountain...

Awesome view...clear waters...

Lil' Angel enjoyed walking in the cool water and getting herself wet...

Oh Mommy...please let me walk in the water longer...please...

Ok...anything for my Bebe...

Where's the duck?

Time for lunch at the Red Parka Pub...

The interior. The walls were covered with license plates...

I had steak and Daddy had yummy ribs!

Along the way...we stopped by a playground. Lil' Angel and Mommy in the jeep...make way!!

Lil' Angel's all time favourite - the SLIDE!

One more time...please!

Cute swing...

She was enjoying herself very much!

Hmmm...where's everyone??

Ice-cream...*drool*...

Another playground at the ice-cream cafe. We decided to play first before eating. That must be the world's biggest ice-cream!

Lil' Angel, the truck driver...

I may be small but I can drive a BIG TRUCK! Hop on Mommy!

Ok! Here I am! Drive faster, Caitlyn!

Hmmm..should I go down the slide by myself??

Ice-cream! The ice-cream was too sweet for my liking though...

A little town - Conway...

Interesting shop...

We stopped by at the supermarket on the way back to our resort and we couldn't resist buying 2 lobsters back to our studio to steam...

Daddy proudly presenting the lobster that he cooked!

The lobsters were deeeelicious! Sweet & succulent...
