Lunch With Cousin Yue En...

After class today, we met up with Eunice Yi Yi & Cousin Yue En for lunch...FINALLY! It has been quite a few months since I last saw my lil' cuzzie! We had lunch at New York New York at Lot 1...
Thinking hard on what to eat!

Lil' Yue En has really grown so much in the last three months! Her hair has grown quite a bit and they are curly...just like mine! And she's getting cuter each time we see her! I am glad that both of them get along pretty well!

Lil' Angel enjoying her free yogurt sample!
Lil' Yue En enjoys looking at what cheeky Lil' Angel is doing!

Garlic and Cheese Bread...not bad!

Mommy ordered the pretty yummy Mushroom & Cheese Quesadilla...
Lil' Angel saw the fries on Aunty Eunice's plate and happily helped herself to the fries! Lil' Yue En was eyeing the fries too...and naughty Lil' Angel tried to tempt her!
See...similar curls! Lil' Angel's hair is much longer cos she's a year older. No doubt that we are cuzzies!
Picture with Eunice Yi Yi...

*Hugz!*

After the yummy lunch (thank you Eunice Yi Yi for the treat!), we brought the girls to the rooftop playground. Boy...did they have fun running around and mounting all the equipment! Lil' Yue En is a pretty fast runner too!

A short video of Lil' Angel looking out for trains (MRT) below...unaware of Lil' Yue En approaching...(have a good laugh...but I think you will go "OH NOOO!" first...)
The girls having fun on the ice-cream truck ride!
We decided to go back into the mall after awhile as it was about to rain...
We felt greedy, so here we are...eating again!

Kids Loft Lesson Two...

It's lesson two today! As usual, Lil' Angel looks forward to going to school...
Playing with the toys during free time...
Today's story is "Way Down Deep In The Deep Blue Sea". It's about a little boy describing his adventure into the deep blue sea. He plays peekaboo with a hermit crab and fences with a swordfish until he eventually discovers a pirate's treasure chest, but he leaves most of it behind when he meets a shark. Still, he manages to bring a coin back up to his mother, who is waiting for him at the surface. The last page shows all of the animals left behind looking a little less intimidating as they float in the bathtub. The musical writing and beautiful illustrations plus Teacher Lavina's wonderful reading skill were a hit with the tykes! Once again, they were hooked during story time!
The kids were asked to stamp Starfishes during Art&Craft session...one of the sea creatures in the story...
Lil' Angel showing off her dirty hands...

Lil' Angel enjoying the profiteroles during snack time!

The kids were asked to take a pair of sea creatures and they did the actions to the "Peter & Paul" song...lyrics changed slightly...
Lil' Angel got a starfish stamp on her feet!

Toothpaste...

Lil' Angel has been using the Grins & Giggles Toddler Toothpaste since she was ten months old. It did a good job in cleaning her teeth and she loves the toothpaste...but it doesn't mean that she always enjoy brushing her teeth! She prefers eating the toothpaste!

When she knew how to gargle and spit out the water after brushing her teeth, I tried to introduce children's toothpaste to her. I enticed her with The Wiggles toothpaste (she likes The Wiggles) but she didn't like it one bit as it contained a bit of peppermint. She insisted on using her G&G toothpaste. So I sourced around and found the perfect toothpaste for my Lil' Angel...

Tom's of Maine Silly Strawberry Toothpaste! It is a Fluoride-Free Toothpaste for Children and it uses calcium and silica to gently clean. It contains no artificial sparkles and bubble gum flavors, only delicious real fruit flavour! Best of all, it contains no Peppermint! Because it's fluoride-free, there's no need to worry about the toothpaste ending up in Lil' Angel's tummy than in the sink!

After using the toothpaste for a few days, Lil' Angel's teeth are even whiter and she is more co-operative when I brush her teeth. She loves the toothpaste!

Our Caterpillars...

So you must be wondering what happened to our caterpillars that we bought from Butterfly Lodge, ya?

We started off with four caterpillars...
Aren't they cute?
The Cocoon...
One of the caterpillars must have been pretty matured as it formed into a cocoon two days later! It was a good thing because the other three caterpillars did not manage to survive! They all died one after another...within five days...*sob*...
The Empty Cocoon!
One week after the caterpillar hibernated in the cocoon, it popped out! Unfortunately, we were not home when it popped. It dropped out onto the paper lining the container and laid there for a few hours before Mommy realised that the butterfly has emerged!
Pretty Butterfly!

Because it was left laying on the paper for a few hours (it couldn't fly as the wings were wet and got stuck onto the paper), one of its wings tore...most likely due to the butterfly struggling to free itself from the paper). Since its wing was torn, our poor butterfly couldn't fly to look for food so it eventually died after two to three days. Sigh...
Lil' Angel was very fascinated with her butterfly! However, she was also pretty sad that her butterfly couldn't fly...
Although we were not successful in rearing the caterpillars (will not rear them again in case they suffer the same fate), Lil' Angel now knows the life cycle of a butterfly!

Lunch At Suki-Ya...

We went to Suki-Ya at Marina Square for lunch today...

Lil' Angel at the entrance of the Restaurant...

We had the lunch buffet hotpot...not too bad!

The thinly sliced pork. The two trays below it contained sliced beef and sliced chicken...

Mommy and I enjoyed our lunch while Daddy found it a bit too healthy for his liking!!

Picture with cute Aunty Ling!

Since Aunty Ling's office is nearby, she popped by to say "Hi" to us! Aunty Angelyn (Mommy's ex-colleague) also came by for awhile but we forgot to take a picture together! Never mind...there's always another time!

Another picture of us!

Lil' Angel was so happy to see GodMama! Check out our dresses...so kawaii!

GodMama & God-Daughter Look Alike! Aren't we preeeeettttty?

Great Grandma's 81st Birthday!

We are feeling terribly gluttony as we went for Baby Titus' First Month High-Tea in the afternoon and now, we are digging into the sumptuous seafood dinner at Long Beach @ Dempsey as it is Great Grandma's 81st Birthday Celebration! It's a Day of Celebrations!
The Yummilicious Chilli Crabs!
This was the only food picture that I took as I was enjoying all the dishes that were served before the crab that I forgot to take pictures of them...the seafood at Long Beach (Dempsey Branch) is yummmy!
Lil' Angel rather have her puree than the yummy food! Guess she was too full from the afternoon's High Tea...
Check out the flower on my head! It was used to decorate one of the dishes! Hmmm...I wonder who was the one who placed it on my head...

The Birthday Great-Grandma! Looking so good and strong at 81!

Happy Birthday Tai Por! Here's wishing you good health and happiness always!
