Put Backkkkk!!!

Lil' Angel borrowing a book from the Book Room @ JG

After Lil' Angel's Julia Gabriel class, we had our lunch at Takashimaya followed by shopping. There was a Disney Fair at one corner of the mall and Lil' Angel spotted a Mickey Mouse Candy Bar that she insisted on holding. The top of the candy bar has Mickey sitting in an airplane and the blades will propel when you press the button. So I took it down for her to hold while I browsed through the items on sale. After I was done, I asked Lil' Angel to put the candy bar back but she didn't want to and insisted on having it. I had no choice but to buy it for her...and to think that I was so proud before that she doesn't throw a tantrum if I don't buy her something that she wants! After paying for the candy, we walked across the entire store towards the exit. Upon reaching the exit, Lil' Angel said very loudly "PUT BACK!!" and she waved the candy bar madly at the same time. I told her that Mommy has already paid for it so it's ours and we don't have to return the candy. She started becoming hysterical and said "PUT BACK! PUT BACK!..."

So I had no choice (once again) but to turn back, walk across the entire store and back to the Disney corner once more. I decided to try my luck and asked the cashier if I could do a refund as "my kid doesn't want the candy anymore...". The lady was very nice and she said it wasn't a problem and promptly did a refund after I signed a form. We then happily put the candy back!
Now I know that all Lil' Angel wants is to hold on to an object that she likes when we are in a store and that I DO NOT need to BUY it!! We just need to RETURN it when we leave! So there, I can still proudly say that she is unlike some kids who throw a tantrum if their parents don't buy what they want or kids who need to buy at least an item whenever they go shopping! Hope this good trait of hers last!

Cousin Xavier's 2nd Birthday Bash...

It's Cousin Xavier's 2nd Birthday Bash today! Actually, his birthday should be a month later but he will be getting a new brother in mid-July so he had an early celebration!
It was a BBQ party and the food was "catered" from his Daddy's stall - Galbi Express! Yummy!
Thomas the Train was the Theme of the Party...

That's me with my Cousin Xaiver! Happy Birthday Xavier!

Lunch With Mommy's Ex-Colleagues...

We went to Marina Square today to meet Mommy's ex-colleagues for lunch and to take a look at the Young Parents Fiesta event which was held there. As we were early, we popped by the Fiesta first. There was a Cover Kid Contest where the photographer on site will snap pictures of kids to see who will grace the cover of the magazine...

Lil' Angel queuing up for her turn to have her picture taken. There were only about three kids before her but we still had to wait for more than half an hour!

When it was finally her turn, she happily ran to the backdrop and smiled at the photographer! Oh but wait...where's Mr Photographer?? He was busy talking on the phone! And poor us had to wait again for another few minutes before he finally hung up. By then, Lil' Angel was not keen to have her picture taken anymore and she decided to just sit and even lie on the floor! Ewwwww!
When Mr Photographer finally decided to snap her pictures, he kept asking Lil' Angel to stand (hello...he could have just knelt down instead, couldn't he?) and he just kept clicking at the wrong time. Lil' Angel NOT smiling...*CLICK!* Lil' Angel smiling...errrr...where's the *click*??? Anyway, we were asked to go back an hour later to pick up our free 4R picture. Went back two hours later...there were lots of parents crowding Mr Printer, all looking very flustered because Mr Photographer and Mr Printer got all the babies mixed up!!! They couldn't match the Contestants' numbers to their photo database and all the parents had to try spot their kids! I had to go back three times in two hours before I was being served. Finally, Mr Printer printed Lil' Angel's picture for me and HECK! The picture was a GREENISH HUE! The picture looked pretty scary! Can't believe we wasted our whole afternoon just to get this ONE SCARY picture...*sigh*...
Anyway, back to the highlight of our day...we met Aunty Wendy, Aunty Dawn, Aunty Jasmine & Aunty Ee Ling for lunch at Billy Bombers! Lil' Angel was in an extremely good mood during lunch and she was busy entertaining the aunties with her cheeky antics! For that, they rewarded her with FRIES!
Fries, fries, fries & Cheeky Faces!

After lunch, we went (1st attempt) to the photo booth with the intention of picking up the scary picture...
And Lil' Angel ended up balloon fighting (and playing) with a little boy who was there to pick up his picture as well...
End of fight!

Kids Loft Lesson Three...

The weeks are whizzing by and it's already Lil' Angel's third lesson at Kids Loft...

The kids playing with the colourful letters during free play time. Lil' Angel was having fun picking out the letters which I asked for from the container...
The children were curiously looking at the caterpillar which Teacher Lavina brought out...
They couldn't take their eyes off it!

Today's story "Where's My Teddy" is about a little boy in search of his teddy bear in the forest...

So for Art & Craft, the kids were asked to sponge-paint a BEAR!

Lil' Angel proudly showing off her masterpiece!

Next, Snack Time! Lil' Angel is asking Teacher Lavina for cornflakes...

Yummy!

Letters-matching Time!

All the kids taking turns to have their hands and feet stamped by Teacher Lavina. Today's stamp is the letter "b" with a bear!

After class, went went to Sushi Tei at West Coast Plaza for lunch. Both the girls seemed famished and they finished their bowl of rice and chawanmushi!

Pardon the rice on my chin...

The food is yummy! AHHHHHHH....

Sakae Teppanyaki...

We were planning to go Sushi Tei (airport branch) for lunch today but we couldn't locate it! Hmmm...is there even a Sushi Tei at the airport? While trying to find Sushi Tei, we chanced upon Sakae Teppanyaki at Terminal 3 and decided to give it a try instead...

The Teppanyaki is good...it's pretty value for money! Lil' Angel enjoyed the food too! We'll definitely be back for more!
Waiting for the Skytrain to take us back to Terminal 2 as we parked our car there. Lil' Angel was so thrilled taking the Skytrain (it's our first time taking the Skytrain from T2 to T3) and she kept chanting "Cait Cait take Skytrain"...
Where's the SKYTRAIN??

Dora's Best Friends Day...

Only recently, Lil' Angel got to know about Dora when we brought her to the airport and there were Dora Banners hanging around to publicize Dora's performances at the airport during the June holidays. Subsequently, she caught an episode of Dora on TV and MaMa bought her a Dora book...and now, Dora is one of her favourite characters! So, we have been bringing her to the airport to watch Dora performing...and in total, we have caught the show FOUR times! We didn't mind cos the performance was really quite good!
Lil' Angel posing...

Lil' Angel got to know the characters (Dora, Boots and Swiper) through the performance! And after watching the performance so many times, she knew what to expect and the things they say..."Gate", "Lock & Key", "Naughty Swiper", "Backpack", "Map", "Rainbow Rock", "Crabs", "Chocolate"...

Ice-Cream!

We went to Holland Village to meet Aunty Jane for brunch. Aunty Jane is expecting her lil' bundle of joy in the next week or two so she's free to meet us as she is on leave already!
After the lovely brunch at Provence, we walked around for a little while before heading back to Aunty Jane's house which was just nearby. We stayed for about an hour and then we headed home...but not before stopping by the Daily Scoop for our ice-cream fix as it was such a hot day!
Lil' Angel enjoying her strawberry ice-cream...

Taking a sip of water to neutralise the sweetness

I love my Lil' Angel at this age...she's becoming more like a little girl and less like a baby. She's good company (only when there's ice-cream!) today. We were in the cafe, sat across each other at the table chilling out and before she took a sip of the water, she said "Cheers!" and we bottoms up! Suddenly, I felt like I was out on a date with a friend, and not with my Lil' Girl...*Cool!*

Looking at how the ice-cream is made while enjoying ours...

Kids Loft Lesson Two...

It's Lil' Angel's second lesson at Kids Loft today and Lil' Cherelle also joined her for the classes. So after sending Daddy to work, we went to their place to pick them up. We arrived in good time...

Both of them at play during free play time...
Time to settle down and say "Hello" to Teacher Lavina...

All the kids are enjoying story-telling time cos Teacher Lavina makes the story so interesting. Today's story is about Jungle Animals so the kids were asked to paint a Jungle Animal - The Elephant!
Lil' Angel hard at work...she loves Art & Craft...

Showing off her masterpiece...

Look at her BEAMING!

Then it's snack time!

Lil' Angel happily munching the Loacker Wafer...
It's Kindermusik time! Lil' Angel is in the music mood today and she even participated during parachute time! She has always been a little scared of the parachute...but not anymore!

Playdate With Claire & Jesse...

Today is one of the rare days that we are in the East so we got to meet up with my "Eastern" friends - Lil' Claire & Lil' Jesse for breakfast at East Coast Park Maccas! After breakfast, we wanted to go to the beach for some fun but the beach and sand just didn't look inviting...it's dirty and Lil' Angel didn't even want to go near the beach! So Jesse's Mommy suggested that we go to the playground near Frankel Avenue. Good choice! The playground is big with lots of equipment and it's CLEAN!

Lil' Angel having fun on ET's bicycle (that's what I call it)...

Lil' Angel is having fun peeping and putting her hand through the little hole while Mommy is having fun snapping artistic shots!

Taking a little rest...

And off she goes playing again!
