Dinner With Aunty Ling...

We finally met up with Aunty Ling for dinner at Thai Express! I think we have not seen each other for at least half a year...gosh! Even though we have not seen each other for so long, Lil' Angel warmed up to her almost instantly...maybe cos Aunty Ling is cute!
Aunty Ling...Mommy's very good friend!
Lil' Angel had bread and banana for dinner while we had...

Tom Yum Soup with Rice...
And Pad Thai! Yummy!!

Julia Gabriel Mandarin EduPlay...

For the past few months, Lil' Angel has been attending Julia Gabriel Bilingual Play Club, Kids Loft & Little Neuro Tree (ie 3 classes per week). When term ended for JG & LNT, I decided not to continue with the two classes as we were getting bored. However, at the last lesson for the term at Kids Loft, Teacher Lavina informed us that there will be a three-week BREAK before the start of the new term! That will mean no classes for Lil' Angel for 3 weeks! Lil' Angel loves going to school, so after some thought, I decided to enrol her at JG once again! But this time, it's going to be an all-Mandarin PlayClub and we will be going to the Evans Branch instead of Forum. The Mandarin PlayClub is twice a week...hopefully Lil' Angel's Mandarin will improve by the end of the term!

Playing with the toys during Free Play Session...

Lil' Angel felt pretty comfortable in the Mandarin PlayClub as the setting was pretty similar to the Bilingual PlayClub at Forum. And best of all, we found out that her favourite Mandarin Teacher from the Bilingual PlayClub is taking her Mandarin class now!

That's her favourite teacher, Ni Lao Shi...

Start of lesson. The kids are encouraged to introduce themselves in Mandarin in front of the class. Lil' Angel is still reluctant to introduce herself in class...she will only do so at home! Hopefully she will be brave enough to do so before the end of the term!

Stamping with Green Pepper...

Art&Craft Time! The theme for the week is "Green" so they are given Green Paint and Vegetables to do Stamping...

Stamping with Broccoli...

Proud of her finished art work!

This is the way we wash our hands...to get rid of the green paint!

Outdoor Play!

Unlike before, she doesn't really go for the cars anymore! She is more interested in the kitchen sets and houses...guess she is into pretend play now...

Snack Time!

It was snack time after outdoor play. When I said "Snack Time", she hurriedly left the playground and ran back to class! She looked hungry! The kids were asked to say the different snacks in Mandarin...

Happily carrying her plate of snacks to the table...

Snacks make Lil' Angel HAPPY!

YUMMY!

Thoroughly enjoying herself!

End of class. I'm glad that she is enjoying the Mandarin EduPlay as much as she enjoyed the Bilingual PlayClub! She always tells me that she enjoys school and I do hope that her positive attitude towards school and learning will continue...forever!

Swimming With Lil' Leon...

Aunty Adeline is on leave today so we all decided to meet at the pool for a swim! Good thing that Lil' Angel woke up in time from her nap for the swim date!

A slightly dazed looking Lil' Angel...still not fully awake from her nap! Lil' Leon is already having a whale of his time splashing around!

Alrighty! I am READY!

Hurry Caitlyn!

Ok...one more picture before I jump in!
The kids had a great time and we mommies had a great WORKOUT! We were ordered to go to and fro the length of the swimming pool countless times!! They thought that swimming with help from us was FUN!! Then again, maybe they thought that we really needed the workout...
To reward ourselves after the workout, we went for dinner at Old Town Cafe then to Daily Scoop for ice-cream! Yummy!!
They were playing very happily together! They took turns being the leader in "Follow The Leader" game, walked around the cafe, looked at how the ice-cream was made, and ohhhhhhh...they even kissed! :O
Lil' Leon is definitely one of Lil' Angel's favourite playmate now...she has been saying she likes Leon Gor Gor...

Kids Loft Lesson Eight...

It's the last lesson of yet another term! How time flies when one is having fun! And instead of a one week break before the new term begins...it's THREE weeks this time! So loooooong...I'm sure Lil' Angel is gonna miss school!

Today's story is "Snappy Sounds...Vroom!" It's a book with ultra cute illustrations of different vehicles accompanied by complementing sounds! The sounds of the honking car, bus, ambulance, fire-engine, train etc can be heard when Teacher Lavina turns the pages...how cool is that!

All the kids were enthralled!

Lil' Angel having fun with the Play Doh!

For today's Art&Craft, Teacher Lavina gave the kids a tub of Play Doh. They were required to make tiny little balls and use a toothpick to pick up the balls (think: Satay/Kebabs). This is good for training their eyes/hand co-ordination.

Yummy! Yummy! Yummy!

Snack Party! As today is the last lesson, everyone contributed snacks for the Snack Party! We brought a box of Wiggles ABC Biscuits from Sydney! Lil' Angel enjoyed all the snacks...no doubt!

Kindermusik Time! Lil' Angel happily following Teacher Lavina for the actions to the "Wheels on the Bus" Song!

And she was happy shaking the egg shakers too!

A short video of the kids following Teacher Lavina's actions to the "Wheels On The Bus" song...

All the kids putting the egg shakers back into the box...

And returning their mats too!

Lil' Angel receiving her Certificate and all her art work for the term from Teacher Lavina...

Admiring her Certificate!

Showing Off her Certificate!

Shane, Jeremy, Cherelle, Lil' Angel, Sophie & Yu Xi...

Not forgetting a picture with her classmates! Surprisingly, the kids were quite cooperative so it wasn't too difficult to capture a picture of them together! Great job kids!

Daddy's Birthday!

We chose to return from Sydney last night because it is Daddy's Birthday TODAY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! *MUACKS!* Thank God that we came back yesterday too...if not, we would have been caught in the Dust Storm in Sydney! *Cough...Cough!*
Happy Lil' Angel sang the "Birthday Song" to Daddy...she couldn't wait to eat the cake too!
Picture with the Birthday Daddy...

Daddy & Lil' Angel!

A BIG HUG for Daddy & a BIG KISS from Daddy!
Daddy's Birthday Lunch celebration was at The Line@Shangri-La Hotel. The variety was HUGE but the food was so-so...nevertheless, it was still a great lunch!
Lil' Angel enjoyed munching on the breadstick...oh, and playing with the breadstick too! She even pretended to be an Elephant!
Picture with MaMa & Mommy!

And of cos...a picture with the Birthday Boy!

Bye Sydney...

We had to get up early this morning as we will be flying off in the afternoon! Can't believe that our holiday is over in a flash! Mommy was doing lots of last minute packing and we finally made it out of the house by 10am!

Lil' Angel saying goodbye to Great Grandaunt...
We headed to Kingsford for lunch at another of Mommy's favourite restaurant. The food took quite awhile to be served so we had to pretty much gobble down our food when the food came. Then we rushed off to the car rental company to drop off the car. We made a wrong turn which caused us to make a BIG detour back to the rental company! Thereafter, we took a cab to the airport and we made it to the airport in good time! Thanks to internet check-in, we didn't have to queue to check in our luggage! The queue for the normal check-in was looooong!
Lil Angel enjoying her ride on the trolley...

She was happy to see the Wiggles...she likes them!

Yet another Wiggles poster...
Lil' Angel doing her Piggy Face expression again!

That's our plane in the background! We will be taking the A380!
Playing with the water cooler...

Walking around the terminal while waiting to board the plane...
Singing songs to pass time...

Swinging and running around...
And it's finally time to board the plane! There are two different aerobridges to board the plane...one is leading to the lower deck and the other leading to the upper deck...we are on the upper deck!
Lil' Angel's boarding pass...

A380 planes are sooo much nicer compared to the normal Boeing 777 planes. It's so much newer (but of cos since it's indeed newer), more leg room, the TV screen is much bigger, seats more comfy, and there are more compartments at the seat in front of you. See...even my penguin has a "seat"!
There...the overview of the aeroplane...
The Bigger TV Screen...
Lil' Angel was pressing and fiddling with everything she could lay her fingers on...

I really appreciated the cup holder!

Mommy was so smart to choose the seats in such a way that the THREE of us had FOUR seats (the whole row) to ourselves...heh heh!
Lil' Angel examining the activity pack...

The service back to Singapore was better than the service rendered when we flew to Sydney. The air stewardess upon seeing Lil' Angel immediately gave her the activity pack to keep her entertained. And she even made it a point to remember Lil' Angel's name so that she could address Lil' Angel by her name! Great service!
Lil' Angel kept saying that she likes to take aeroplane...well, it's not hard to guess why! She's really one happy fella in the aeroplane...and she has no problems with the changing air pressure!
She had the Children's Meal...and she ate quite a fair bit of the pasta. After she was done with dinner, she took a snooze (for only an hour) and I took the opportunity to watch "The Proposal". I love the show!
Sleeping Snugly...

Lil' Angel had a good sleep since she had two seats to sleep on and the arm rest between the two seats could be raised up fully!
When she woke up, I was still half way through the movie but thanks to the Barney show, I could complete the movie in peace. From then, we were glued to the screen! I watched "Aaron Kwok in Concert" next and Lil' Angel caught the "Powerpuff Girls" and "The Simpsons"!!
Pancakes & Strawberries for supper! She loved the pancakes!
We finally arrived at 945pm and Lil' Angel was so happy to see DADA!! She was glad to be home as she missed Daddy & the Gramps very much! She was asking for them everyday!
Overall, it was a good trip! Lil' Angel learnt so much during this trip. She has reached the age where she can remember the places that she has visited, what she has seen, how two countries are so far apart from each other that we need to take the plane etc. She knows the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, the OZ Animals! Show her the logo of Singapore Airlines and she will say "Singapore Airlines"!
Lil' Angel's shopping loot for this trip are casual tops and bottoms (nothing expensive!), snacks, very nice jigsaw puzzles and a guitar! Mommy is so proud that she was so controlled! :)
