New Year Eve's Party...

365 days has just whizzed past and here we are once again ushering in another brand new year! 2008 has been an eventful year...for us as well as the Whole Wide World!

Just a year ago, we were welcoming 2008 with open arms, so unaware that many events we least expect would soon be unfolding before us - MAJOR Financial Crisis, Terror Attacks, Natural Disasters etc.

Just a year ago, we were so excited about the brand new year as we were heading to Boston for eight months...with a baby in tow...how exciting! How will we manage? How cold will it get? Will we be able to make friends there? Will the baby be able to adapt to the new environment? And in a flash, we are back in Singapore once more...and we have already been back for a good four months!

Let's just hope that the year 2009 will be another exciting year minus the crisis and disasters! For one, I know that 2009 will be a year of babies...so many of my relatives and friends are expecting their little bubs this new year! Congrats Mommies & Mommies-to-Be!

Our must have New Year Cake...every year! Thanks to Aunty Khin who will spend so much time and effort baking her signature Yam and Mango Cakes every year!

Another view of the cake...

Our first picture of the year with Gong Gong...aka Daddy's Daddy. Lil' Angel is missing from the picture as she is fast asleep and Grandma is missing too as she couldn't fly back in time from her China trip...

Wishing One and All a Happy Happy New & Prosperous Year ahead!

The Esta...

We went to Gong Gong's new condominium today to let the lighting people in as they were coming to install lights in the unit. Since it will be dusty and noisy, we brought Lil' Angel to the pool for some splashing fun at the wading pool. Our initial plan was to bring her swimming at the pool, but there were too many construction workers around, as most of the units were being renovated...so the wading pool will do just fine! We did bring her swimming after that, but we swam at the Chinese Swimming Club which was just a stone's throw away...

The pool...

Lil' Angel running after Daddy...they are beating each other to the deck chair...

Daddy got to the chair first....Lil' Angel pulled Daddy's shirt to get him off the chair...

A very pleased Lil' Angel...

Time for some fun at the wading pool...

Catching the water fountain with her hands...

And stomping on the water fountain with her foot...

Having lots of fun!

She loves the water fountain...

Walking around the pool...

Kicking & Splashing...

Talking to herself...

She spotted an aeroplane...

Ooooh...there's water on my face...

Big Daddy & Small Caitlyn...

East Coast Park...

After viewing our apartment and shopping at Vivo City, we went to meet Nicole & Natalie at East Coast Park...

Lil' Angel wasn't in the most appropriate beach attire as it was an ad hoc meeting...

Lil' Angel turning around to look at the sea...

Nicole jie jie...shall we play nearer the water?

They were happily running around...

Lil' Angel found a stick and started doodling on the sand...

Mommy...Look!

Look at what I have scribbled!

Lil' Angel taking a break to look at the sea...

And she started doodling again...

Ok...I'm done!

Our New House-To-Be...

It has been ages. We balloted for a unit in 2004. We selected a unit in 2005. We were then told that our apartment will be ready by 2010. So we waited...waited...and waited. Recently, we were informed that it should be ready by the second half of 2009...we got excited so we decided to make our way down and see the status progress...

Gong Gong & Lil' Angel standing in front of the apartment...

Looks like it's almost completed! The highest level is the 50th storey! We can't wait to see the view from up there!

Mommy wants to be in the picture too!

Lunch With Aunty Fadilah & Aunty Diana...

It's been such a long time since we last saw Aunty Fadilah & Aunty Diana so we were glad that we managed to arrange lunch together this afternoon! We met at the Airport Terminal 2 and decided on Fish & Co....

Fadilah & Diana...Mommy's very very good friends!

Since they are such good friends with Mommy, I will not stand on ceremony...I shall help myself to Aunty Diana's fish...

And FRIES!! YUMMMMMMY!!! Mommy still does not allow me to eat fries cos it's filled with trans fat and salt...so if I am lucky, I get to eat about THREE fries...

Lil' Angel savouring the fry...

After we were done with lunch, Lil' Angel insisted on going to the viewing gallery to see the aeroplanes...

Wow...the aeroplane is HUGE!

Mommy...when are we going to take the aeroplane again?

I'm not leaving unless we get on the plane!
