Play Time!

We went to Lil' Jenin's place this week to play! This is Jenin...she's one & a half months younger than Lil' Angel...

She's a very sweet and good natured baby...

See...she lets me bounce in her jumperoo...

This is so much fun!!

He is Lil' Matthew...all of 14 months. The toys in this basket look interesting...

I love the weekly play dates...I get to meet new friends and play with new toys!

Cheesecake Factory..

We decided to have dinner at the Cheesecake Factory since it's so near our place and well...I'm hanging up my apron tonight!

The service was really good. They gave complimentary bread and I asked the waiter what kind of bread it was cos Lil' Angel seemed to like the bread. Not only did he tell us, he even gave us another helping of it, this time with bananas specially for Caitlyn...her favourite!

Here...wheat bread with bananas...

I had garlic pasta...not too bad!

Daddy had fish & chips...BIG PORTION! There were 5 pieces of fish!

Exercise!

Time for some morning exercise with Lil' Angel...

First, take 2 stuffies with you...one on each hand...

Then get into the standing position...with the 2 stuffies still in your hands...

Yap...hold them this way...

Now lean backwards...

And look to your left...

Take a deep breath...

Exhale slowly...

You are doing GREAT! You may now relax...that's all folks!

Chinatown & Faneuil Hall Marketplace

On Saturday, we headed down to Chinatown for lunch and walked around since we have not explored Chinatown yet. And since we have also not gone to the famous Faneuil Hall Marketplace, we decided to make a trip there too.
When we stepped out of our lobby, we were greeted by lots of snow on the ground as it snowed the whole of Friday. It was a pretty sight indeed since it was freshly fallen snow!
Lil' Angel didn't seem very impressed by the snow...

So we took her out of the pram to see if she wanted to play with the snow...she didn't want to...

Nope...she still didn't want to play...

Look...ice on her bum...

Daddy dearest sitting on the icy bench...

And he left his bum mark behind! You can see how much snow had fallen from the amount of ice on the bench...

Daddy's footprints...
That's the park opposite our Apartment...the doggies are out running in the snow...

Another part of the park...

We finally made it to Chinatown and we had lunch at this restaurant...yummy!

Some touristy shots...picture taken at the entrance of Chinatown...

I think that's a mural of Sun Wu Kong...the Monkey God behind me.
Unfortunately, when we were at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, the camera battery died. Faneuil Hall Marketplace is adjacent to historic Faneuil Hall and is bordered by the financial district, the waterfront, the North End, Government Center and Haymarket. It is a well-traveled part of Boston's "Freedom Trail." The Marketplace is a five-minute walk to the New England Aquarium, The Children's Museum, The Old State House, and Paul Revere's House.
We only managed to capture some pictures at the Harbour...but we'll definitely be back again as I love the Marketplace and we will take more pictures then!
Lil' Angel by the harbour...

Just beautiful...

So serene and calm...

Snowing...

It was snowing the whole of Friday and by the end of the day, the whole place was covered with snow! Good thing we were indoors enjoying the warmth from the heater.

Lil' Angel enjoying the view of the falling snow by the glass door...

Even our balcony was covered with snow...

Fresh snow is so fine and powdery...looks just like icing on a cake!

Where's The Ball?

Uncle Joe & Aunty KT...

Last week, Lil' Angel's granduncle & grandaunty came to visit us! Lil' Angel enjoyed the company cos grandaunt kept entertaining her and Mommy could finally take a break!

A nice picture of Lil' Angel with Grandaunt & Granduncle...

Lil' Angel being a nosey pokey...rummaging through granduncle's luggage!

Delicious dinner prepared by grandaunt and yours truly...

Close Shave!

SIGH...in my last post, I was blogging about the wonders of having a car, right?? Well, what I didn't mention was that I almost got blinded...by the car door!
I was busy unloading the groceries and the baby out of the car when I turned my head really fast and SMACKED right into the corner of the car door! My glasses got the full impact of the hit and it smashed and I got cut!! Ouuuuchhh!!! There was blood dripping from just above my eye! Thank God that I didn't get cut in the eye!
I'm sure you are curious as to where I got cut and how I look now...so there you go...

Long Weekend...

Last Monday was a public holiday - Presidents' Day so we decided to rent a car for the long weekend! It was so much easier to get around - be it shopping, grocery shopping or eating! Our 4 days of car brought us to lots of places...
First stop - Babies R Us to get a car seat for Lil' Angel! We got her the Maxi-Cosi Priori Convertible Car Seat...

I love going to Babies R Us cos they have practically everything and I mean EVERYTHING you can think and cannot think of! They have the Needs, the Wants and the Unecessaries but you still want it anyway! Lil' Angel was so tired that she slept while we shopped!

Lil' Angel's favourite snack - Gerber Puffs! And there are so many flavours for her to choose from!

After a full day of shopping, we went to Cinderella's - an Italian Restaurant for deeeelicious pizza & pasta!

My favourite - Mozzerella Cheesesticks! Yumz!

I had the meatlovers pasta...havenly!

Hubby dearest had the pizza...it was good too!

Lil' Angel waiting at the lobby for the valet to get our car. The itinerary for today...Arsenal Mall and Watertown Mall for more shopping!

But first, we have to fill our tummies! We had lunch at Ruby Tuesday...the salad bar is fresh and yummy!

The burger which is OK...

There...Ruby Tuesday...fast becoming Hubby's favourite!

Now for some serious shopping...

Arsenal Mall is like a factory outlet but the Mall just isn't very appealing...

Next stop - Watertown Mall...there's a big Target and Carter's store. And there's a US$10 Buffet restaurant which Hubby dearest is just dying to try...

We drove all the way to Wrentham Village Premium Outlets again! This is my 3rd trip to the outlets and once again...lots of damage done to the wallet!

After all the shopping, we went to Ruby Tuesday again for the salad buffet! I ordered a chicken potpie in addition to the salad...

Hubby dearest had the mini burgers...

Our next eating stop...Sapporo Ramen @ Porter Square...

I had the miso ramen...slurp...deeeelicious!
And now...to Lil' Angel's favourite store - Toys R Us! It is huge and it is well stocked with toys!
Lil' Angel having her picture taken with Geoffrey the Giraffe!

Then to WholeFoods Market to get some organic grocery...

The peanut butter machine churning out the freshest peanut butter...

There! The end product all kept in the refrigerator...

All the organic wheat, grains and beans!

Ohhh...last day of having the car! We woke up extra early and had breakie @ IHOP which serves really good pancakes and waffles!

Lil' Angel getting all excited!

Yummy! Here's my breakfast set consisting of beef chunks, mushrooms, onions, hashbrown, eggs and pancakes!

After breakie, we went to iparty to check out the party decorations and gifts for Lil' Angel's first birthday party! It's a one stop shop for all party needs...balloons, pinatas, goodies for the goody bags, confetti...

And finally, our last stop...Super 88 Market to get all the Asian groceries!
