Fun! Fun! Fun!

This afternoon, we went to Aunty Suk Mae's house. I love going there cos I love playing with Lil' Douglas and Lil' Gregory! They have so many interesting toys and they've got a nice house too! Aunty Suk Mae is Mommy's best friend...she is super nice, super generous, super kind and super thoughtful...she is someone Mommy can always count on! I like her too!

Lil' Angel with Lil' Douglas and Lil' Gregory...

They are sitting by the pond admiring the fishes and terrapins...

I like Lil' Douglas!

That's Lil' Douglas and Lil' Gregory in the pool. Hey...wait for me!!

Here I come! Wow...the pool is filled with toys!

Soaking up the sun...a little tan will be nice!

Urrrgghh...I've just got splashed by Lil' Douglas!

Hmmm..what's this? Oh...a fishing rod!

Can someone please explain to me how to use the rod? This way??

Ooohhh...so I'm supposed to be holding it this way huh? Thanks for enlightening!

Mommy trying to be artistic...

Heehee...this must be the tiniest float!

Hmmm....I can't decide which I like better...the fish or the float...

It's so fun swimming and playing with my friends!

Ok...Mommy says it's time to get out of the water! What a pity! I want to play more!

All zonked out after the swim. Ahhhh...it's so comfy sleeping on the beanbag...

Latest Tricks...

Lil' Angel's latest tricks:

  1. Doing the action for the song "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"! Since Friday, I have been trying to capture it on video but each time I place the camera in front of her, she just wouldn't do it!

  2. She knows how to point to various objects. When I ask her where the light is, she will point to it. She knows quite a no. of words - Mommy, Daddy, Ma Ma, Gong Gong, lights, bird, duck, fish, pig, tree, fan, ball, Barney, Elmo, caterpillar (her toy, that is!)...and of cos, Caitlyn! When I say "bring Barney to Mommy, please", she will crawl to her little sofa with all her stuffed toys sitting on it and take Elmo and crawl back to me! She knows the difference between Barney and Elmo!

  3. She can crawl up the stairs

  4. She can pull herself up to standing position with minimal support such as the wall or holding on to my shoulder. She can stand without support for about 8 seconds.

Hmmm...I wonder what her next trick will be...

TGIF!

We met up with Aunty Danielle & Lil' Dylan on Friday at Werner's for breakfast. Aunty Lisa who is Mommy's good friend introduced us to Aunty Danielle as she was also studying in Boston with her lil' one in tow last semester! Aunty Danielle shared lots about Boston with us and gave us great tips and advise on lots of stuff! What a good way to start off our Friday morning with good company and yummy breakfast!
Introducing my new friend Dylan! He lives very close by so we can meet up and play!

Look over here...Mommy is going to take a picture for us...

Lil' Angel had been eyeing Lil' Dylan's drawing board and he gladly shared his board with her!

Gathering...

We had our usual Babies & Mommies gathering today @ Raffles City. It's always so fun meeting up cos our babies will play together and we never fail to take out our cameras to take shots of them! And they always entertain us with their antics...

Lil' Claire & Lil' Angel. They enjoy each other's company and they are gym mates too!

Lil' Angel: Claire...would you like to help me wash my hair?
Lil' Claire: Okie...that will be fun!

Lil' Claire: Mommy...please pass me the shampoo...

Lil' Claire: This is the way we wash our hair, wash our hair, wash our hair...
Lil' Angel: The head massage feels good!

Lil' Claire: There...all done!
Lil' Angel: Thanks Claire! Wonderful job!

Lil' Angel was so pleased with her hair that she went on to take some more pictures. Here's one with Lil' Joanie...
And sweet sweet Cherelle...

A nice group picture! Oh oh...Lil' Gladys is not in the picture...she was sleeping!

Another nice shot!

Sigh...I'm gonna miss all my friends when I'm away...*sobz*...

Prawn Noodles....

Check out Lil' Angel's look! I think she must be feeling "tension" sitting along a backstreet alley...surrounded by the drain, pipes and dirty tables & chairs! Poor baby, having to endure it all while we were enjoying the yummy Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee! The picture below says it all!

9 Months!

Lil' Angel turned 9 months on Sunday and what an exciting month it has been! Everyday is a SURPRISE as she will surprise us with her new tricks! She can...
  1. Crawl very well now...and she knows how to avoid hitting her head on the floor (well...most of the time) when she loses her balance...
  2. Be in the sitting position from any position she was at previously...be it lying on her back, her tummy, side ways, handstand...with absolute ease...
  3. Pull herself up from sitting position and stand with support...and she can now stand for about 5 seconds independently...
  4. Walk a little with support...
  5. Wave "Bye-Bye"...
  6. Do the "Itsy-Bitsy Spider" finger action when I sing the song to her...
  7. Point to objects that interest her such as lights, birds...
  8. Look at the direction of certain items eg. when we ask where's the fish...she will turn to look at the fish tank...
  9. Pick up small objects like Gerber puffs with her thumbkin and pointer...
  10. Play Peek-a-Boo...she loves it when I hide behind my blankie or pillow and ask "Where's Mommy?", she will squeal/ laugh with delight and crawl over to pull the blankie away. When I place the blankie over her head and ask "Where's Caitlyn?", she will remove her blankie and reveal herself...with a big smile!
  11. Play ball with me...I'll roll to her and she will roll/throw it back to me...
  12. Play with shape sorter toys...
  13. Indicate to me that she wants her milk by tugging my shirt and placing her face on the milk machines...
  14. Drink from a straw...
  15. Talk...ok...trying to talk. She has babbled a few "words" such as "A...", "There", "BaBaa", "YeYe", "DaDa" and the occassional "MaMaa"...and she babbles pretty loudly too!
  16. Not forgetting...she can DRIVE too!

I have started her on egg yolk, organic wholemeal bread, pork and beef porridge besides fish. Her appetite is getting better and I'm glad that she's not a fussy eater. She has four teeth now...2 at the top and 2 at the bottom...and she bites!

This month will be another exciting one as she will be experiencing lots of firsts...first flight, first trip, first snow...

Wedding!

It's Mommy's ex-colleague...Aunty Wendy's wedding today! She is one of our faithful blog readers and she simply adores me! The wedding invitation says "Mommy Cindy & Baby Caitlyn are warmly invited...", so Mommy brought me along for the Dinner. Just the 2 of us! Daddy dearest was so nice to send us to and fro from the Mandarin Hotel! Thanks Daddy!
Lil' Angel was pretty good throughout the Dinner. All I had to do was to feed her with her Gerber puffs and bread while I was savouring the yummy shark's fin and abalone. When she was restless from sitting too long in the high chair, my ex-colleagues entertained and carried her and she was pacified! I'm so proud of you, Baby!

The pretty bride and us!

Aunty Dawn and Lil' Angel. She seems to like Dawn! Must be the cute hairdo!

Aunty Angelyn! Thank you for entertaining me while Mommy was enjoying the savoury fare!

Lil' Angel just couldn't keep still...that's why the picture turned out blur...

After My Bath...

Lil' Angel nice and clean after her bath!

All ready for bed!

My Potty...

Lil' Angel's newest toy - her ducky potty! Lil' Angel is not toilet trained yet so we decided to "convert" the potty into her new toy (with toys so expensive, innovation is the way to go!). She can ride it, put her balls and cubes into the potty and take them out and she can even press the beak...and the ducky will let out a squeak!
Thank you Aunty Wendy for the potty you got me for my first month pressie!

Happy 2008!

Happy New Year to everyone! Time is flying by so quickly and Lil' Angel is already a few days short of 9 months! Wow...I have been a Mommy for 9 months, but somehow...it just feels like 9 years! Last year this time, I was only into my 6th month of pregnancy and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of Caitlyn dearie! As like the previous countdowns, we celebrated New Year's Eve at Uncle Siang's house...

The yummmeeeelicious New Year Cake baked by Aunty Khin! Every year, she will spend lots of time (8 hours!) and effort baking the 4 cakes so that we can all enjoy the wonders of her mango and yam cakes!

Our family picture!

Lil' Angel getting all ready to join in the countdown and welcome the new year!

Ahhh...on New Year's Eve...Lil' Angel learned to wave "Goodbye"!

We got a little bored waiting for the countdown so the 3 of us sneaked out of the house for a little while and went to the nearby ice-cream parlour for ice-cream!!

I Can Stand!

Ever since Lil' Angel started crawling at 7.5 months...there was no turning back! She mastered the art of professional crawling at 8 months and at 8.5 months, she started to pull herself from sitting to standing. She loves standing by the bedside window and looking out at the sky and birds flying by...

A typical morning for Lil' Angel...heading for the window first thing upon waking up...

See...I can stand, bounce and cruise...

Lil' Angel showing off that she can stand with just one hand holding on to the grills. Sometimes, she will try letting go of the other hand as well...and she will stand momentarily for about 2 seconds before plonking down...and she loves to do this no.1 gesture lately...

Ok...enough of standing...time to rest a little while!

Gift Exchange...

After Lil' Angel's vaccination on Friday, we went to Centrepoint to pick up Mommy's mobile from Yi Yi as she had left it at Yi Yi's place the day before. Then, we met up with Lil' Leon & family to exchange christmas pressies and lunch together. Though Leon is 8 months older than Lil' Angel, they are the same size now! After lunch, we met up with Aunty Wendy for another round of gift exchange! Hmmm...I won't consider the gifts belated cos there are 12 days of Christmas!

Lil' Leon & Lil' Angel playing with their sippy cups!

A time for sharing?

Super strong Mommy Adeline carrying 2 sacks of rice...uh...I mean babies!

Thank you Aunty Wendy for the Little Miss Christmas top...I love it!

And thank you Leon for the Flash Book...it's pretty tasty!
