On days when we are home, we usually start our day at about 1030 in the morning. Lil' Angel will have her breakfast and watch television...
*Gasp!* I caught her in a lying position on the sofa watching TV! Boy...does she know how to relax! Heehee...I think she learnt it from me (*sheepish...*)!
Playing one of her favourite DVDs...
If there are no appropriate or educational shows on TV, I will usually play some from her DVD collection. Some of her favourite shows are Word World, Barney, Baby Genius, Meet the Shapes/Colours/Numbers, Elmo, Doraemon (good for getting her interested in Mandarin)...somewhat in this order...
Oh yes...and she loves playing with Play Doh. Today, we made some yummy food and pretended that we were having a picnic...
A close up of our yummilicious food...we had french fries too!
Lil' Angel was definitely enjoying the food!
Then we made some little critters...Lil' Angel absolutely loved them to bits!
Next will be sorting and counting time. We don't play with this on a regular basis...it's as and when Lil' Angel remembers it. She is the mood for it today!
Then it's story time! We are reading "Will You Be My Friend" by Eric Carle - one of Lil' Angel's favourite authors. She loves the "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See" series...and also, books by Dr Seuss as well as books with flaps or those featuring her favourite characters.
In the second picture on the right, cheeky Lil' Angel covered her boobs and said "BRA!" and started laughing!
After reading, we did cards matching (opposites). Lil' Angel knows quite alot of opposites. She's pretty much into comparing.
And of course some time in the day, she will have her lunch, nap (about 1.5-2 hours) and if she naps early and wakes up early, we will go down to the playground before dinner. That's pretty much how we spend our DAY at home!
