Kids Loft Lesson Six...

We left the house really late today so poor Daddy volunteered to take the train to work instead. Off we went to pick Lil' Cherelle & Aunty Cynthia before heading to Kids Loft. We arrived in good time...in fact, a little early even!

Lil' Angel's Potato Head!
Lil' Angel decided to build a Potato Head during the free play session this week.
Today's story is Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See? The book consists of a string of fine feathered (and furry and scaly) friends watching over each other. The animals featured are endangered...from a swinging spider monkey to a strutting macaroni penguin to a splashing sea lion...

At the end of the book, all the animals are presented together and you can see an array of colours! Never did knew animals could be so colourful, ya?

So for today's Art & Craft...the kids will be PAINTING!

Lil' Angel looking longingly at the paints...

Teacher Lavina was explaining to the kids what to do with the colourful paints. It looks as though Lil' Angel was the only student...haha. She is very enthusiastic when it's art & craft time so she's usually one of the first few kids to dash out to the art area...

All the kids looking attentively at Teacher Lavina doing a demo of what they will be required to do later. They can't wait to start painting on the BIG CANVAS SHEET...

Self-Expression!

Lil' Angel hard at work. She was happily painting away! Up, Down, Left, Right...then off to change to a different coloured paint...

All the kids were Super Duper Happy!

The Children's Masterpiece!

After everyone was done with painting, Teacher Lavina asked the kids to remove the paint using the hose. The usually "fearless" Lil' Angel seemed very hesitant holding the hose with the powerful jet of water shooting out...so she didn't want to give it a shot! She just looked on at the other kids spraying the canvas...

The canvas is almost cleaned!

Snack Time! Lil' Angel must have been so hungry after the painting session...she kept asking for more cakes! She was really enjoying the cake...check out her expressions (and smiles)!

Kindermusik Time! The kids were asked to roll, bounce and throw the balls...

Like last week, the kids each took turns to play with the different instruments. There were seven kids so they got to try out seven different instruments...

The kids were asked to sway their scarves according to the music...

End of class...time to get their hands stamped! Lil' Angel proudly ran to me after she got a stamp on her hand and said excitedly... "Letter P, Letter P!"...

And she happily ran back to Teacher Lavina to get her feet stamped too!
