We signed Lil' Angel up for a Baby Competition organised by the Siglap Community Centre just to see what Baby Competitions are about and hopefully, win some prizes as well. We entered Lil' Angel for three categories: 1) Happiest Grandparent & Grandkid 2) Parent/Baby Look-Alike 3) Dressing Up Baby.
The Competition began at 9am. We managed to wake up early and arrived at the CC on time!
All the Hampers for the lucky winners!Lil' Angel and MaMa were assessed to see if they make a happy pair when we arrived at the CC for the Happiest Grandparent & Grandkid category. Lil' Angel was still feeling dazed as she just got up not too long ago so she didn't really respond to Grandma's cues. So no, they were not the happiest pair.
For the Dressing Up Baby category, the parents were given crepe paper and masking tape to dress their babies. Lil' Angel didn't want any of those ugly, "obiang" coloured papers on her so we didn't even try to "dress" her up with it. And it was a good thing that she didn't want us to because after the babies were assessed, I saw some of the babies skin stained with the colour from the crepe paper! How terrible...what lousy quality paper! The dye could be harmful!
So that leaves Lil' Angel with one more category to compete, which is the Parent/Baby Look-Alike contest. Daddy & Lil' Angel went up to compete with about sixty other pairs of Parents & Babies...

Down to the Final Three and then TWO! Daddy & Lil' Angel were one of the two finalists! But the judges would not reveal the champions till the very end of the Competition...
While waiting for the results...Lil' Angel ate her snacks and walked around. Mommy was resting and then we heard our names being called out! We were picked for the lucky draw...yay!

Lil' Angel got a little bored waiting for the results so Daddy entertained her. Finally the results were out and the FIRST PRIZE goes to...

Congrats!! It would not do justice if daddy and daughter didn't win since they really do look so much like each other ;o).
