One of the highlights of Chinese New Year ever since I got to know Hubby Dearest is eating my MIL's fruity yusheng! It's so delicious and healthy that yushengs served elsewhere pale in comparison. The best part is...we lao yusheng at least five times throughout the CNY period...yumz! We will do the first toss tonight for this year's Lunar New Year...may the Year of the OX be a more BULLISH one...
Some of the ingredients include jackfruit, mangoes, pamelo, strawberries, cucumbers, carrots, turnip, abalone (to substitute the raw fish)...
Adding the usual auspicious garnishings such as peanuts, crispy crisps, sesame seeds, plum sauce, oil...
Lil' Angel looking on...
The yusheng before tossing...
Lil' Angel tossing the yusheng for good luck...
It's Lil' Angel's first time tasting yusheng...
I'll try this crispy crisp...
Here we gooooooo...
It is gooooooood! More, Mommy, More, pleeeeease....
After eating the yusheng, we had a delicious steamboat reunion dinner, followed by dessert!
