We enrolled Lil' Angel for Julia Gabriel's PlayClub (English/Mandarin). "PlayClub is a stimulating learning environment that is highly enjoyable, with a curriculum structured around letters of the alphabet and key Mandarin words, numbers, shapes and colours – all organised in interesting child-centred themes and translated through activities such as indoor and outdoor play, music, art and craft, hands-on pre-science activities, stories, speech, drama and snack". Sounds interesting enough and I am very happy that the classes will be conducted in both English & Mandarin.
On the way to class...
While waiting outside the studio, Lil' Angel entertained herself by clamouring all over the SPCA dog...
She tried mounting it too!
Free play for the first ten minutes of class... Lil' Angel headed for the trains and cars as usual...
The studio...
The other side...
This is the last picture that I took as Lil' Angel was very distracted whenever I took out the camera. So I decided to keep the camera and just enjoy the class with her.
Turns out that the class is indeed very interesting and entertaining. Lil' Angel was so attentive throughout the class...she enjoyed herself tremendously especially during the drama, art&craft, play and snack time! She was quite participative and even said "TWO" when the teacher said "One". She follows the teachers' instructions and able to sit through storytelling sessions too. I am impressed cos she's a superactive tyke who would rather run around than to sit still!
I am not sure if the class is very good or by sheer coincidence that Lil' Angel is talking more recently, she can now say "Ni Hao" (this is definitely from the class) and many more English words as well as saying her ABCs after me. Hmmm....
