Chinese New Year - Day 1...

This is Lil' Angel's first year celebrating Chinese New Year in Singapore! We were in Boston last year so she missed out on the celebrations. This is also her first year wishing all the relatives "GONG XI FA CAI" with mandarin oranges, trying CNY goodies and collecting ang pows, personally!

Yes...it's my FIRST year celebrating Chinese New Year! I am so excited!

All dressed in RED and ready to Bai Nian with my Gong Gong & Ma Ma...

After our neighbours left, we headed to the temple before starting with the visits...

After the visit to the temple, our first stop was to...BURGER KING! Daddy & Mommy were hungry...and they had Whopper and Mushroom Swiss! Oh oh...according to Aunty Khin, we are not supposed to eat beef during the 15 days of Chinese New Year as this is the Year of the Ox! Heh heh...too late...sorry Ox/Cow/Bull...

Lil' Angel didn't get to eat the burger but she got a BURGER KING CROWN! She is so into crowns nowadays because she wants to be a PRINCESS!

She is so in love with her crown that she wore it while visiting the relatives. Second stop (the first was BK, remember?) Lao Yi's house...

This is our last stop for the day. Most of the relatives will come to Great-grandma's place so we will just wish whoever we see at her place. Seems like the number of homes we visit as the years go by are declining....are there really lesser relatives to visit or are we just getting lazier?? In the past...I remember that even two days of visiting is never enough!

We headed home after Great-grandma's place since Daddy's side of the family will be coming over for CNY dinner...
