New York - Day 2...

Our plan was to start the day walking along 5th Ave...but alas, the Pope was also in town resulting in many road closures in the early part of the day so we couldn't walk along 5th Ave...grrrr. In the end, we decided to head to Central Park...

One of the many News Broadcasting Stations in USA...

Radio City Music Hall...

Along the way, we stopped by a cafe for breakfast. Lil' Angel is wondering what she's going to have...

Eggs and toast! Yummy!

One of the many entrances to Central Park. Central Park is HUGE...it covers 843 acres, which is 6% of Manhattan! The Park has several lakes, theaters, ice rinks, fountains, tennis courts, baseball fields, many playgrounds and other facilities. It is also home to the Central Park Zoo and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Horse carriages are a common sight in NYC...

It's unbelievable that a park like this is actually situated in the middle of a busy city!

One of the big playgrounds in the Park...

There's even a carousel!

It's another warm day, just the right weather for a visit to the Park...

Spring is definitely here! All the flowers are in full bloom!

A Quartet entertaining the Park visitors...

Nice walk in the Park...

The Bethesda Fountain...lots of movies have been filmed here!

See The Lake behind us...visitors can rent boats to row!

Met up with my good ol' pal Suk Mae & family who are also holidaying in New York! Lil' Angel was happy to see her favourite gor gors - Douglas & Gregory!

Lil' Angel inspecting the acorn...

Yay! We are going to rent a boat...

That's our row boat behind us!

We proudly present...Daddy the Sailor!

Seeing Central Park in a different way...

Hmmm...why must I wear a life jacket? Mommy & Daddy are not wearing one...

Ooohh...this is getting hot...the sun is shining so brightly...think I'm going to have a tan soon! Mommy...I don't want a tan...I want to be Snow White!!

Sigh...no one is listening to me...I might as well just drink my milk and sleep...

It was a lot of fun sitting in the boat. You can people watch and it's really interesting to see all the different kinds of people in the other boats...

That's a restaurant in the background. The view must be really good if you get the window seats...

We spotted these tortoises while rowing...so cute...4 tortoises trying to clamour onto the rock...

Lil' Angel still snoozing at the end of the ride...

Cherry Blossoms can also be found in the States...not only Japan...

A blanket of cherry blossom petals...simply beautiful!

Finally we can walk along 5th Avenue...

Apple in the glass showcase...cool!

F.A.O. Schwarz...a wonderland of toys! Lil' Angel taking a picture with the "toy" soldier.

At the other entrance of the store...

These doggies are so cuddly and soft...I like them!

Daddy...stop using the doggies to tickle me! Hahahhaaha...

Cute bunnies...

Lil' Angel's favourite toy currently is shopping trolleys! She loves pushing them around...

Ugly Doll...I'm not being rude...it is really called Ugly Doll...

Baby dolls...they look so real and there are even two salesgirls dressed as nurses to make the whole setting look even more realistic!

Wow...they even have Barbie Dolls modelling on the runway!

Buildings and shops along 5th Avenue...

Trump Tower...didn't see Donald Trump tho'...

High end stores...

World of Disney! That's the evil lady in the 101 Dalmatians...

Aerial view of the store...didn't buy anything since most of the items were the same as Disneyland's...

The Atlas Statue at Rockefeller Center...

We are on 630 Fifth Avenue...

The Prometheus Statue (in gold)...this is also where the ice-skating rink is. Too bad the rink is not in operation as winter is over...

The flowers at the Channel Garden...very pretty!

Close-up...

The NBC News Station...

We stopped by for tea at Maxie's Restaurant...

Look at all the cheesecakes! I'm going to have one!

Yummy strawberry cheesecake...it was a big slice...and I managed to finish almost the whole slice by myself! Amazing...

Daddy had the burger....quite yummy too!

Back to the hotel for a rest first...

After our loooong rest, we finally managed to dragged ourselves out of bed and go to Chinatown for dinner cum supper. We took the Subway...and oh my...it was very baby unfriendly...good thing we used the baby carrier instead of the stroller...

In the subway...

We reached Chinatown at 9pm and most of the shops were closed. So we walked into one of the chinese restaurants which was still opened. The food wasn't too bad, but definitely not the best either...

Lil' Angel got to try some fried rice too!

Back to Times Square after dinner...

Hot dogs, pretzels & roasted nuts stands can be found everwhere along the streets...

And caricature artists too...

Lil' Angel enjoys looking at all the bright and flashing lights...

The Lion King Musical is showing now...

Lots of people everyday and any time of the day!
