Our flight on United Airlines was at 7.30am so we had to leave the house in the wee hours of the morning. Was feeling a little dazed as we were still busy packing the night before and only managed to hit the sheets at 130am. That's barely 3 hours of sleep so it was hardly surprising that I was zombified! Though I was really excited about the trip, I can't say the same for the flight as it was going to be a 25-hour flight! We weren't expecting anyone to send us off as it was so early but Uncle Joe and family actually came to send us off! Wow...
Time to go...Lil' Angel was sleeping but she woke up just in time to bid farewell to everyone!
Doing a little morning exercise aka shopping at the transit area before boarding the plane...
Lil' Angel's First Flight!
When we booked the tickets on UA, I was informed that they do not have a bassinet but a floor basket instead. What I did not expect was that the floor basket turned out to be more like a hand carry bag! It was so poorly designed and it actually looked like a bag to keep the remains of a murdered victim! Even the stewardess was so embarrassed when she gave us the "basket". What made it worse was that the bag had to be placed on the floor right in front of us, and poor Lil' Angel had to smell our shoes, and not to mention, inhale the dust from the floor! For such a competitive industry that UA is in, they should really do something to improve their image!
If you couldn't visualise, here's a picture of where poor Caitlyn was sleeping and where our legs and shoes were!

Luckily, on our flight to Tokyo, there was an empty seat beside me so Lil' Angel got upgraded and she slept on the seat instead.
Lil' Angel even made some new friends aboard the plane! Cuties! They liked her so much that they kept coming by our seat!
There was also a children's play area and Lil' Angel had fun crawling around. Finally some space for her to crawl!
Look at how happy she was!
Checking out the nursery and changing her diapers before we embark on our next leg of the journey! The nursery is super clean and nice! There is even a baby cot!
Yumz...enjoying my bowl of spicy ramen! Slurrpppp....the 3 hour transit in Tokyo flew by really quickly as I was happily shopping and looking around!
After a 12-hour flight, we finally reached Chicago, the second transit. We were really tired out by then! It's no joke sitting in an upright position for so many hours...plus we had to carry the baby for more than 3/4 of the journey as we did not want to place her on the floor and there was no empty seat for this flight. Towards the end, my arms could take it no more and Lil' Angel was so tired that she didn't even mind when I finally placed her in the bag on the floor!
This picture was taken in the sky train at Chicago Airport. Lil' Angel must be wondering when we will finally arrive in Boston. Check out her tired look...
And now the tired Mommy!
Finally, the last leg of the journey...2 hours to Boston!! Lil' Angel was pretty excited as she got to see lots of planes outside as we had the window seat. We arrived at 730pm in Boston!
I just want to thank God that Lil' Angel was so well-behaved throughout the flight and she did not fuss much! Even the take offs and landings did not bother her much. The long flight could have been very bad but Lil' Angel was indeed an angel! She was definitely very tired but she did not complain! We are so proud of you, Baby! Big Muackz!
Upon arrival, A-Gou Adeline, who is residing in Colorado specially flew over to Boston for the week to help us settle in. First thing after we arrived, we headed to Target to get all our necessities. I don't know where I got my energy from but after 25 hours of flying, I was happily shopping away! Look at me checking out the stuff in the background!
