At 26 months, it's harder to chart Lil' Angel's growth every month now. I mean...she can walk, run, jump, talk, recognise her name, pose for the camera etc. Oh, but wait...she still cannot...- Control her bladder ie not toilet trained...
- Wean herself off breastfeeding...
- Fall asleep by herself at night...
- Sing well (she is beginning to sing "Happy Birthday", "Twinkle Star" tho)...
- Dress herself without help...
- Wear her own socks and shoes by herself...except for her crocs...
- Sit and finish her meals...it's a pain to feed her and it doesn't help that others feed her snacks near meal time or offer her snacks during meals
Some of the cutest things that she has done/said so far...
- Woke up one morning, looked around the room and said "Cait Cait has many toys!"...
- At the toy store, she will look at all the toys and start pointing to the various toys and say "Cait Cait HAVE!!" I am thankful she's not the kind of kid who will cling onto the toys in a store and throw a tantrum if Mommy doesn't buy it...or maybe not yet!
- It can be quite embarrassing to bring her to the lingerie section of the departmental stores cos she will start pointing at the bras and say "Mommy's Bra, Mommy's Bra!"...
- Showed her the Mr Men series at Borders, she pointed to Mr Greedy and said "That is Dada!"...
- There are some books that she likes a lot and she will say "Cait Cait likes this book"...
- She likes to count the number of grandparents, uncles, aunties, cousins that she have. She will go "2 Gong Gongs, 1 MaMa, 1 Mommy, 1 Daddy, 1 Yee Yee, 1 Uncle Shark, 1 Nicole Jie Jie, 1 Natalie Jie Jie etc...
- When comparing Big and Small items eg. balls, she will refer to the small ball as "Cait Cait Ball" ie anything small is "Cait Cait"...
- In the morning when you think that she is still asleep, Daddy lets out a "PooooooOT...", she will suddenly sit up and say "Daddy Fart Fart, Smelly!", laughs and plonks back onto the bed...
- She likes to run in and out of our bedroom as well as opening and closing the door. Whenever she leaves, she will say "Bye" to us and close the door. When she wants to come in again, she will KNOCK the door before opening and say "Cait Cait come back!"...
- She says "Bye XXX" to inanimate objects...
- Whenever she doesn't get to eat something or doesn't want to eat, she will say "eeeeee...NOT NICE!"...
- Whenever she sees other kids wearing crocs, she will be very excited and say "Same! Same! Same Crocs!" followed by the colour of the other kid's crocs and the colour of her crocs!
- When she sees other kids bags or clothes with Barney or other characters, she will point at their bags/clothes and say "Barney! Cait Cait watch Barney!"...
- She is afraid of cockroaches, insects and lizards. Lil' Angel's official cockroach killer (in her opinion) is "GONG GONG...Kill Cockroach!"...
- She's into making funny faces now...and she knows that she is cute and funny!
