North End - Little Italy...

It's Sunday again...and I'm all ready to go out. Today, we'll be going to North End...Boston's most European (Italian, actually) neighbourhood.

We walked from home in Cambridge to North End...cos it's supposed to be 2 tram stations away but it took us approximately 30 minutes to get there! Lil' Angel must have had her bumpiest 30-minute ride in her stroller...and she actually fell asleep halfway through...

We had lunch at La Famiglia Giorgio...great choice! The portions are HUGE, the food is deeeelicious and the prices are reasonable. I had the garlic prawn pasta...*heavenly*!

Just look at the portion, the succulent prawns and heaps of garlic on the linguine...all my favourite! Yumz!

Daddy's marinara pasta was even more deeeelicious! They were so generous with the mussels, clams (BIG ONES) and calamari...the sauce was good too!

Daddy is not a pasta person but even he gave the thumbs up...and he finished the whole plate! Of cos Mommy helped a little too...with the mussels and clams!

Just when we finished our lunch, Lil' Angel woke up. Great timing!

Outside the restaurant. We'll definitely be coming back again!

Walking along North End's narrow, curving streets where one can catch quick glances of hidden courtyards and flower-bedecked fire escapes...and gelatos!

Mike's Pastry, I read, is famous for its Canoli, pastries and gelato! No doubt about that cos there were so many people in the cafe eating and queuing to buy their pastries. We couldn't squeeze in with the stroller so we decided that we should just come back on a weekday to try their pastries.

Enjoying my hazelnut gelato at another cafe which wasn't so crowded...nice but pricey!

Browsing at the shops along the main road...

I like this building so I took a picture with it...

It reminds me of the movie "Pretty Woman" where Richard Gere climbed up one of these stairs to kiss Julia Roberts...yeah...cheesy...but it's a nice building...isn't it?
