This weekend was a fabulous one for me as I met up with my old friend Jocelyn, whom I have not seen for almost 13 years! She left for Hawaii to study after secondary school...we did write to each other initially but dropped it after awhile...which is not surprising cos I am so lazy to write and post...I am even slow in replying emails! We lost touch but thanks to Facebook, we found each other! So anyway, Jocelyn is now happily living and working in San Francisco and she flew over to Boston just to have lobsters in Maine and of cos...meet up with Lil' Angel and ME!
We met up on Saturday evening for dinner and again on Sunday. Sunday was really fun as we drove to Rockport, Maine and Portsmouth for food, sight-seeing and shopping!
First stop - Rockport. It is a small harbor town with many quaint little studios, shops, and restaurants that line its narrow roads. Look at the flamingos in the pails by the window...how cute!
Very pretty flowers outside another window...
The street and stores...
Bearskin Neck is a bustling artist colony where one is just as likely to see an artist at his easel as a lobsterman hauling his traps...it is also where most of the studios, shops and restaurants are located...
Bearskin Neck Street...
Cute little ice-cream hut...
One of the many art galleries behind us...
The shops...

The shops...
A seafood shack...looks good but we are reserving our stomachs for the lobsters in Maine...
A shop selling all things doggy...
Fudgery. The boy looking in the window isn't real. It looks quite creepy actually...especially in the night...I wonder if they will bring him in!
A shop selling sandals and kayaks...
How colourful...like the rainbow!
Colourful animal bags! They are soooo cute...I got the bright yellow chick for my Lil' Angel!
Lil' Angel outside Helmut's Strudel...
Random picture. We just felt like taking a picture here...
Outside one of the many shops...
The beautiful cove behind us...
And the nice waterfront houses...oh how I wish just one of them is mine...
Walking along the street lined with quaint looking houses. While I was busy snapping away, the 2 ladies were busy entertaining my Lil' Angel! Look at them having fun pushing the stroller and singing silly songs to her!
Everyone is out enjoying the sun on a lazy Sunday morning...
We proceeded to Maine after that for LOBSTERS at Barnnacle Billy's! Lil' Angel is all ready to attack the lobsters too!
We had the best table...by the harbour! Good view, good food & GREAT company!
Everyone is waiting for their lobsters!!
We are hungreeee! Where are our lobsters???
Aunty Jocelyn entertaining Lil' Angel! I like Aunty Jocelyn!
Oooohh....littleneck clams with butter sauce...*slurp*...
And finally...the LOBSTERS!! They are both one-and-a-half pounds each...heavenly! It's totally worth the long drive!
And we even managed to squeeze in dessert! Hot fudge cake with ice-cream, strawberry shortcake and almond nut chocolate ice-cream! Really yummilicious! A couple who sat next to our table couldn't believe their eyes when they saw how much food we had! Ooohhh...sinful indulgence!
Lil' Angel made sure that she had her share too!
After having such a sumptuous meal...we just had to take a picture outside the restaurant! Check out our super satisfied look!
Lots of lovely tulips in the background...but I can't say the same about Lil' Angel's expression!
Next stop was to Portsmouth. It's another quaint little town with very interesting shops and cafes...
A toy store...nice decor inside...
A shop selling very pretty but pricey handbags. You can even choose your own design and have the bag personalized!
Nice kitchenware store! I love browsing at kitchenware...and they have nice stuff!
Honey...I Shrunk The Kids! Wow...this must be the BIGGEST red ant that I've ever seen!
As if the lunch wasn't filling enough...we had tea at Popovers Cafe! I had frozen lemonade and popovers...they were good! If you are wondering what popovers are, they look like muffins but are extremely light & fluffy...almost hollow inside. Very buttery, very yummy! Lil' Angel loves them...
A close up view of a popover...thanks Jocelyn for introducing it to Lil' Angel & Me!
That's how we spent the whole of Sunday eating ourselves crazy! Lil' Angel & Mommy are so glad that we could meet up with Jocelyn and Siree in Boston and thank you so much for driving us to all the fun places, as well as buying pressies for Lil' Angel and treating us to the delicious food! Lil' Angel love you gals to bits!
