Mommy's gone to Heaven...

Today is a sad day. Mommy has left us for Heaven after fighting lymphoma for a year and 2 days. Words cannot express the sorrow Daddy and everyone close to Mommy feels. She leaves behind her 2 precious angels, the loves of her life. Daddy may never understand God's reason for taking Mommy away from her 2 Lil' Angels at such a young age. But i know that Mommy wouldn't want this blog to be filled with sadness, her struggle with the disease or the many disappointments she faced over the year. Mommy was always a cheerful, positive and spirited person. She always kept up a smile no matter the adversity.

Daddy had only knew Mommy for 8 short but beautiful years. I know that she wouldn't want us to be sad but rather celebrate her life. Mommy had also reminded daddy to retrieve all the old photos that were saved on an old computer just days before she passed on. She must have wanted all the memories preserved so that the 2 Lil' Angels will always remember the good times. Going thru the photos did bring back a smile and a tear... here are some from the 8 years i've known her...

Dec 2002

Daddy first met Mommy on holiday in the US. We were in Breckenridge Colorado when we first got together. This was when Daddy first held Mommy's hand down the icy path leading to the city square. This was our first picture taken together.

2003

Daddy and Mommy loved to travel. We were in the Gold Coast Australia in July and Korea in December. We also had a pair of rabbits named Mashi (brown male) and Maro (white female) which we kept in an enclosure in the garden. Both of us were working in close proximity at NUS and we had lunch together almost everyday! It was always Dover, Ghim Moh or Holland village market. We loved to eat and enjoyed each others company.

2004

We traveled to Japan in June and Melbourne in December. Then we realized that having a male and female rabbit together wasn't a good idea, as we now had 11 rabbits! But we loved each one of them and the garden had turned into a mini farm! On Christmas day, Daddy surprised Mommy by proposing to her with 99 roses and a ring at the Beaufort Hotel in Sentosa. That was one of the happiest days in Mommy's life, she couldn't contain her excitement and was jumping up and down. She immediately phoned her good friends to tell them of the news.

2005

Besides going on holidays, Mommy also liked staying in hotels. We stayed several times in Conrad Hotel which we liked the service and comfortable bed. In June, we went to Perth and stayed at Uncle Siang's vacation house. Mommy loved the place and its proximity to Perth City and Freemantle, the food in Chinatown and the Australian lifestyle. Here are also several pictures with Nicole Jiejie when we brought her to the Jurong Bird Park. The rest of the year was spent planning for our wedding next April.

2006

Daddy and Mommy got married at our favorite Conrad Hotel on 26 April. During the wedding, Daddy serenaded Mommy with one of her favorite songs The Search is Over by Survivor. Then we went on our Honeymoon to New Zealand! We toured entire south island in 2 weeks. Mommy loved that place, the majestic scenery and especially Queenstown where we went white water rafting and took the shotover jet. It was heaven on earth! We were back in Perth in December again!

2007

Mommy was pregnant and the joy of her life, Caitlyn was born in April. This blog was created soon after to document and share her joy with the rest of the world. Mommy's life now revolved around Caitlyn and she couldn't wait to bring her out to meet her friends. I recall Caitlyn was out of the house in only a week after birth! The rest of the year is well documented in this blog.

2008

One of the happiest years in Mommy's life! We were all off to Boston to accompany Daddy for his studies. We arrived and it was already snowing the next morning and Caitlyn got to experience snow at just 10 months old. Mommy's friendly and easy going personality made her many friends at the apartment block we stayed at. Almost every week, the Mummies brought out the lil' ones out to play or shopping. We also traveled around a lot. We went to Orlando, New York, Niagara Falls and not forgetting our weekend excursions to New Hampshire and Maine for the lobsters and sightseeing. Mommy never wanted to leave and she was ecstatic when Daddy told her he had to stay behind for an additional 2 months because he was slow in his work!

2009

We were back in Singapore and Mommy wasted no time taking the now grown Caitlyn out for activities and classes. There was also Gymboree, Julia Gabriel and Teacher Lavina's class which she had posted so many entries. It was also so hard to find pictures of Mommy because almost every picture taken was of Caitlyn and she did capture and document well the development of her Lil' Angel here. We were on the Royal Caribbean cruise for Christmas and the New year.

2010

We were in Phuket Thailand in the early part of the year and here is a picture of Caitlyn's first elephant ride. Mommy was diagnosed in February and spent the whole year in and out of hospital for treatment. Whenever she was better, she would take the time to update the blog. Caitlyn also visited Mommy regularly in hospital. Baby Evan was born premature in June and this was the first picture taken with him with Mommy while he was in the incubator at the NICU. She always made it a point to go see him the 49 days he was there, even if it meant being wheel chaired over. I know Mommy won't be too happy with Daddy for showing pictures of her bald headed as she never wanted to be remembered that way, but there were so few pictures of her during that time. In October, Mommy was proud to attend Caitlyn's first school performance, she was especially happy seeing the cute tiger outfit and the touching finale song for the concert.

2011

This was our final picture together just 2 days before she passed on. Mommy was always ready to put a smile, especially of it was for her Lil' Angel. On the night before her passing, Mommy was quite ill but still managed to summon all her energy to hold herself up to receive a final good night kiss from Caitlyn. Daddy knows that Mommy never wanted to leave her 2 precious Angels and she was determined to fight on and was hopeful to get better. There was so much to love and live for. Mommy will always be here with us in spirit and in our hearts.

This was a picture Daddy found in one of the folders on Mommy's computer that aptly sums up what Mommy was all about. We will always miss dearly the mother of my 2 Lil' Angels.

It's CNY and Lil' Angel and Didi are all dressed in their new year outfits to go an collect Ang Baos! Here Didi since i'm the Jiejie let me give you a Ang Bao... *shake shake*... But Jiejie its only an empty packet?

Here are the 2 Lil Angels back from their visitations all day... and Didi is already getting tired. He's all changed into his pajamas and ready for bed!

Reunion Dinner...

We're having steamboat dinner for reunion dinner and look at the spread we are having! Grandma had prepared a special menu including her famous Yusheng

Mama is busy mixing the ingredients for the Yusheng and Lil' Angel is so helpful to pass her the ingredients. But wait!! I think she is only eyeing the crackers and waiting for the Lou Hei to be over so she can have them.

Gou Gou Serene's Wedding...

Today is a special day, it's Gou Gou Serene's Big Day and Caitlyn is ever so honored that she had been chosen to be the flower girl! This being her first opportunity, Mummy had to make sure that everything was in place, like the ribbon on the back, position of the flower clip and the shoes. Also special thanks for Gou Gou Hsiao Yun for choosing such a pretty dress...fit for an Angel.

Upon arriving at the hotel, Caitlyn was so eager to meet the bride that she kept asking Daddy where she was. Finally we spotted the bride... and Caitlyn she had to take a picture with the pretty Gou Gou. Don't they both look gorgeous?

I must admit that Caitlyn was pretty spontaneous that night, she was able to pose and smile for photo after photo. Here are several shots of her in the solemnization hall, before most of the guests arrived.

Here is the 5 year old Kor kor (Daddy can't recall name) that was the pageboy. Caitlyn was pretty shy at first and was running all over the place when they were first introduced, but after a while she calmed down and warmed up to take some photos.

Next was the rehearsal for the the solemnization march in...

Then it was the real thing... marching in front of the bride and groom and hand in hand with the pageboy! Omg!...Daddy has this strange feeling that his baby is already getting married??

Marching up to the Justice of Peace... Caitlyn took the wrong turn and had to be directed to the correct side. Oooops...Granduncle Huat was probably telling Caitlyn not to mess up his daughter's wedding! Caitlyn was standing at the table side throughout the solemnization ceremony and looking with awe...at the beauty and grace of Gou Gou Serene and the handsome groom Uncle Laurence.

After the ceremony, it was phototaking time! Caitlyn had become a minor celebrity at the wedding and everyone wanted pictures with the flowergirl. At one point, Grandaunt Jennifer had to even touch up her lip gloss!

Outside the reception area before the dinner, Caitlyn was so excited seeing all her Gou Gou and she was running all over the place again. There was her favorite snack too...potato chips! She had a couple and Daddy was nagging for her to stop and drink water. She was nevertheless enjoying herself there!

During the wedding dinner, Gou Gou Serene serenaded her husband in a Japanese kimono... and Caitlyn was so captivated by her sweet voice..

GrandAunty Ngoh & Aunty Michelle visit...

Today we have many visitors to our home, from Hong Kong GrandAunty Ngoh, Gou Gou Melinda and Caroline and Uncle Peter are here. The also brought christmas presents for the 2 Lil' Angels...

Here is Didi being carried by GrandAunty Ngoh, who also brought him up to the sky bridge for a walk.

Later Mummy's friend Aunty Michelle came with Joelle and her Didi (Daddy doesn't know name again) who is about the same age as Didi Evan. However, he looks much bigger. At one point, both boys were crying at the same time, like they were talking in their own language...

Xmas Morning...

It's Christmas morning...!! All finally after weeks of waiting, Caitlyn can finally open all her presents. As we gather around the Xmas tree, Caitlyn unwraps present after present including those meant for Didi... He doesn't know how to play anyway...so i'll play his toys for him!

That's my baby!! Now i finally have a baby to look after and care for...

Night before Xmas...

It's the night before Christmas, and we were having the cousins and Aunty Adeline's family over for dinner. We were ordering pizza from Boston Pizza because they had a buy 1 get 2 free self pick up offer! In addition, chef Melvin (aka Uncle Melvin) was cooking some special pork dish and there was bee hoon too!

Over past few weeks, our Christmas tree had accumulated so many gifts for the 2 kids and there wasn't anymore space for presents!

Pictures of the yummy pizza, and crisy pork and bee hoon...droolz...

All the kids were so engrossed watching TV and nobody was paying any attention to Didi... that was because he too was watching and not making any noise. All thanks to Uncle Corny...

It was sooooo.... comfortable for Didi that he was....dozing....dozing....dozing off.....zzzzz.......

Aunty Merilyn then decided to change him into his PJs since he was that tired already. It was a special outfit brought in by Gou Gou that made him look like a tiny elf or Santa's helper. It had a special "My 1st Christmas" hat and nice matching shoes. Only noticed now as Mummy had great eye for detail and photographed those shoes. In Daddy's opinion, Didi looked more like a leprechaun..... Where's the pot of gold you are hiding Didi?

Xmas Dinner @Great Grandmas...

Every year we make it to Great Grandma's place for a dinner and presents exchange... This year Didi is accompanying us for his first Chrismas! There is the yummy sweet and sour pork and other home cooked dishes that Mummy loves so much.

Look what Caitlyn got from her cousins.... a Snowman made from candy! She was on cloud 9... god knows what happened to the Snowman after these pictures were taken.

Didi was also there, but he was crying most of the time. Everyone took turns to carry him but as it was getting late, only Aunty Merilyn could soothe him. Here are some pictures taken with Great Grandma... Caitlyn Jiejie was trying to console him by giving him a kiss on the cheek. She loves her baby brother so much and will try anything to make him feel better.

AuntyMichelle and Uncle (Daddy can't recall the name) came to visit us today. There are Mummy's good friends from Sydney... I recall Aunty Michelle coming to visit some years back when we had Hammy the hamster. We had also met up with Aunty Michelle while we were holidaying in Sydney in 2008.

Evening Prayer...

Ever since Mummy got ill, Lil Angel Caitlyn had been praying for a speedy recovery for her. Every morning after she wakes up and evening before she goes to bed, she'll recite the morning and evening prayers from the Little Heart, Little Prayer book. She had listened to it so many times that, she can recall every single line by heart. After which she'll ask for applause from Daddy and Mummy, then approach Mummy to tie the ribbon which keeps both books in the cover.

Here is a video (taken by Mummy) of Cailtyn reciting the evening prayer before bed. She knows when to flip the pages, so it seems like she really knows how to read...maybe so. Being a little nervous here on video, she needed a little prompting from Mummy to get the prayer done...

Natalie Jie Jie's Birthday...

Today is Natalie Jiejie's birthday... and Caitlyn is especially happy as she gets to eat more cake again. Yee Yee Lynette had decided to celebrate her birthday at our place because Mummy was not well enough to travel over to Yee yee 's place or go out. Nevertheless, we had a big celebration too as Daddy bought chili crabs from the stall downstairs for everyone to try! Aunty Adeline and family were also here, as they had planned earlier to visit Mummy... more people to join in the celebration!

Aunty Merilyn's Birthday...

Today is Aunty Merilyn's Biirthday... Aunty Merilyn had done such a good job in looking after Didi Evan ever since he returned home from the Neonatal ICU. We had bought a strawberry sponge cake...on the request of Caitlyn... and Caitlyn was so happy singing the birthday song and not forgetting eating the cake!

Living in the same estate as Cherelle, makes it ever so convenient for Caitlyn's best pal and schoolmate to come and play when Mummy Cynthia visits Mummy. The 2 girls enjoy playing marketing and cooking, pretending to ask Daddy what he wants to buy then putting the ingredients into a bowl and cooking it up.

Breakfast....in Bed!

The next morning after Mummy's birthday bash, everyone was feeling too tired to go down for breakfast. Moreover, Cait Cait was still sleeping and we had already missed the breakfast time. Daddy called room service to have breakfast delivered to the room!

Caitlyn was all zonked out!

Unfortunately, room service only had the continental breakfast, therefore all we had were muffins ,croissants, jam, hot chocolate, orange and guava juice. But it was served on a trolley with an oven below to keep the bread warm!

Mummy had some muffins but the hot chocolate was too sweet for her liking.

As usual, Daddy had the privilege of finishing everything Mummy did not want..

But not including Caitlyn's share of a muffin and croissant with her favorite butter!! Here is Caitlyn playing and showing off her croissant and explaining how great life was to be rich and famous...for a day.

Mummy's Surprise Birthday Party...!!

As this birthday holds particular significance for Mummy, a surprise birthday was planned weeks in advance by Daddy the 2 Godmas Wendy and Adeline. Daddy had to correspond secretly via email to organize and send out the invites without giving the surprise away. The guest list included family members, friends from poly, university and work. Basically, anyone who Daddy thought mummy knew sometime in her life was invited.

The Godmas also made a special trip down to the venue to recce and choose the decor which Cindy liked. This included, pink table cloth and pink balloons with streamers which made the welcome entrance.

The menu also consisted a buffet spread with things Cindy liked to eat. This included cod fish, brocolli and even a mushroom pasta station with linguini.

Some of the guest that arrived before the surprise...

Adeline and Wendy explaining to the guest how the surprise was to be carried out. Cindy was up in the Senator suite expecting to come down to the chinese restaurant for a dinner with several family members at 8pm. All the guests were told to arrive by 7.45pm so as not to meet Cindy on the way. Once everyone had arrived, they were told to gathered at the entrance with lights turned down. Then they SMSed me for the cue to come down...

Daddy had to distract mummy by asking her to check out a "new childrens play area" before going down to the restaurant. Then as mummy walked in.....everyone shouted "SURPRISE HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" It was much of a surprise and shock as it was for Mummy as for Caitlyn. Didi who was disturbed by all the commotion cried...and had to return temporary to the suite.

It was time sing the birthday song and cut the 2kg Blueberry chocolate travona from Chef Icon Nature Bakery. Ever since discovering this shop, mummy had been requesting bread and cakes from there. Caitlyn was ever so eager to blow the 33 candles out for mummy...

Cindy was really happy that night... but she was really exhausted after spending so much time with family and friends and had to retire back to the room after the phototaking session. She later posted on facebook that she had the best birthday party ever and liked to thank the 3 musketeers and Alvin. This birthday will surely be etched in the memory of all her loved ones...forever!

Conrad Hotel...Senator Suite!!

Today is a special day, its Mummy's 33rd Birthday. Daddy had planned a surprise and booked a room at the Conrad Hotel. Conrad Hotel holds a special place in our hearts as it was the hotel where Daddy and Mummy got married and solemnized their marriage! Unknown to Mummy, Godma Wendy and Adeline and Daddy had contacted the Hotel beforehand, and they were so nice to us to Double upgrade us from a common room to a Senator Suite!!

The suite was even bigger than our house and there was complimentary wine, chocolates, fruits and flowers to welcome us! They also offered a rose petal butler drawn bubble bath!

Mummy, as usual, had to take so many pictures of the huge toilet (there were actually 2 toilets in the suite!) and long bath, the teddy bears, toiletries and king sized bed!

There was also a rose bouquet to welcome Mummy! It was intended for Daddy to present it to his wife as a surprise, but the hotel messed up and just left it in the room.

This was also a special day for Didi Evan, it would be his first time staying in a hotel! Cait and Didi wasted no time to ransack and play on the bed.

Later when Didi fell sound asleep... Cousins Nicole and Natalie arrived and the 3 of them went down to the hotel pool.

Some random shots showing the size our suite... it had a living room, dining room and 2 toilets... the view was pretty impressive too. I also recall that we had access to the executive lounge on the top floor, Cindy and myself managed to go up for some snacks and hot chocolate although we were wearing slippers!

Lunch @ Ju Shin Jung Korean Restaurant

This must be a really sentimental post for me, cos this was probably the last time i had a buffet meal with my beloved wife Cindy. We had just sent Caitlyn to school and were wondering where we should have lunch. We were driving along west coast road and we decided on Ju Shin Jung Korean restaurant, as Cindy was fond of the korean glass noodles Chap Chae. But knowing me after we stepped into the restaurant, i had to have the buffet.

The veggies and cold dishes which Cindy could not eat.

Nevertheless, i just had double serving of everything!

The pork collar, marinated chicken, mushrooms (one a single serving) and Cindy's favorite garlic!! Overall, it was a good experience and i recall Cindy having quite a bit of food! God knows when i'll be able to enjoy such a meal again... with my eating soulmate gone...

Great Grandma's Birthday!

We are celebrating Great Grandma's birthday at Ah Yat restaurant in Orchard central. Orchard road must have changed a lot in a year cos i couldn't recall that there was a building here the last time we were here. Anyway, my favorite cousins Balbis (Nicole & Natalie) were there too and they were ever so obliging to take a nice picture with me. I guess this was what mommy wanted to complete but didn't have time time or energy to do so! In any case... daddy will try to fill in the blanks and continue where mommy had left off...

In addition to this blog date, mommy wanted to comment that her lil angel has been completely toilet trained! All this thanks to Grandma's coaching and patience...thanks Grandma, they money saved will go to good use for didi's diapers instead...

First Ballet Lesson...

After watching an episode or two of Angelina the Ballerina, Lil' Angel became very interested in ballet. We asked her if she wanted to go for ballet lessons and she said she did so Grandma sourced for ballets schools and enrolled her in the Ballet & Music School.

A few days prior to the first lesson, Grandma got the ballet leotard, tutu and accessories for Lil' Angel. She was so excited and happy that she insisted on wearing the ballet outfit and started dancing for everyone to see!

Toilet Trained!

Lil' Angel is already three years and four months, yet she still does her BIG and small business in her diapers most of the time! We have been persuading her to use the toilet but it really depends on her mood. And I have no doubt that she can feel and control her bladder but she just loves to poop and pee in her diapers!

Recently, she has been very interested in ballet so Grandma signed her up for ballet class. We asked Lil' Angel if she wanted to be a Ballerina or Diaperina...and kept teasing her. We told her that Ballerinas don't wear diapers...and that everyone will laugh!

Well...it worked! A few days later, she decided to get rid of her diapers and there have been no accidents to date...maybe just once when she couldn't make it to the toilet bowl in time...she wet the toilet.

Finally, Lil' Angel is off diapers in the day and during her naps, but Mommy still doesn't dare to let her go diaperless at night...just in case she wets the bed!

I am thankful that she is toilet trained...if not, we will have to spend so much on diapers for both kids...and it's literally money down the drain!

One of the reasons why she chose to come to Singapore for her holiday again (she was here last November) is because she wanted to see Mommy and make sure that she's alright. So sweet right? Marina Bay Sands....

Grandma booked a room at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. So we all went up to the rooftop garden this evening to watch the fireworks as today is the Full Dress National Day Rehearsal! We were there early so we waited and waited for the fireworks...and Lil' Angel kept bugging us to go back to the room as she wanted to bathe in the bath tub! Mommy was so tempted to go back to the hotel room too as the rooftop garden was a mad house...there were so many people up there and it was humid!

Just when we got tired of waiting, the fireworks came on and it was SPECTACULAR...we had a really good view from the rooftop garden. No pictures though as I couldn't take nice fireworks photos with my camera...

After the fireworks ceased, we went back to the hotel room and Lil' Angel headed straight for the bathroom and had a splashing good time in the tub! Can't post any pictures of her having fun in the tub though cos there were no bubbles to protect her...errrr hermmm...Modesty!

First Day At Home...

Baby Evan gets to go home today! Since Mommy will be in and out of hospital so frequently (actually more IN than out), our plan is for our new helper Marilyn to take care of Baby Evan...with the help of Grandma and Daddy. Grandma will also continue to take care of Lil' Angel. Mommy is so thankful for all the help she's getting from the family! Thank you everyone for being so supportive throughout this ordeal!

Our New Helper...Aunty Marilyn!

Baby Evan is already on a scheduled feeding routine, thanks to the nurses in NICU for training him since...hmmm...I really dunno when! Every 3 hours, Baby Evan will cry for his milk...it's really clockwork and his timing is very accurate...you can hear his cries at 6am, 9am, 12nn, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, 12mn, 3am...

He loves his milk feeds and drinks pretty fast! Mommy cannot breastfeed him but thanks to Godma Adeline, he gets his share of expressed breastmilk (EBM)! We also supplement with S26 Formula Milk when the EBM supply runs low!

Thank you Godma for the yummy milk! I love it!

Baby Evan Has Arrived!

On 1 June, Mommy was supposed to go for her usual chemo session but when Dr Lim (Oncologist) saw that she was coughing, he suggested to Mommy that he would like to take the Baby out asap as he needed to treat Mommy with stronger drugs. Daddy & Mommy were dumbfounded as Baby is barely 29 weeks into gestation! That's only seven months! We were so not ready for Baby Evan's arrival but we knew that if it has to be done, it has to be done. Sigh...Mommy wasn't responsive to the CHOP and EPOCH chemos because the cancer cells are just too aggressive. So after getting the green light from the Gynaecologist (Dr SL Yu) to take Baby Evan out, Mommy went through a C-Section under GA on 3rd June! It was a very smooth delivery! And Baby Evan also did very well even though he was tiny...thank God! Baby Evan is indeed a miracle baby and a blessing from God! He is one tough Baby! Welcome Baby Evan into our family...we all love you very much!

By the way, we chose the name Evan because it means God is Gracious (indeed!). Evan also means a Young Warrior!

Lil' Angel, Daddy, MaMa, the 2 Gong Gongs, Godma Adeline & Family, Aunty Wendy & Uncle Robin all came to see Baby Evan cos he is ONE MONTH OLD today! Oh, who's missing? Mommy! She couldn't go to the NICU to see Baby Evan cos she wasn't feeling too well...

Visitors could only see Baby Evan through the glass window as only Mommy & Daddy could go into the ward...

Baby Evan finally got discharged on 23rd July after staying in the NICU for SEVEN WEEKS! He was 36 weeks (almost full term) when he got discharged. But poor Mommy had to remain in hospital...*sob*...

Thank you NICU Nurses for taking such good care of Baby Evan, he has grown and progressed so well in the last 7 weeks!

So off we went to Swensens to claim our free sundae and decided to have our lunch there as well. We had fish and chips and it was horrible. Lil' Angel has been eagerly waiting for the Disney on Ice performance ever since she knew that Grandma bought tickets to the show! She will show the brochure to everyone and tell them the different characters she sees on it! Anyway, the day finally arrived and here we are, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium for the show...

Lil' Angel was super happy with her big box of Mickey&Minnie popcorn! She ate almost half of the box...I had to stop her...

The performance...which wasn't really exactly great! It was in fact quite boring...but of cos Lil' Angel loved it! All kids love Mickey Mouse & Friends...don't they? Thank you MaMa & Gong Gong for getting the tickets!

One of Lil' Angel's favourite restaurant is Waraku@Central as the restaurant has a good view of the Singapore River and she can see the bum boats and water taxis cruising along the River while eating her favourite udon. And to add to that, the restaurant gives toys to the kids when you order the kid's meal...

First Day of School...

Lil' Angel is all ready for her first day of school!

Lil' Angel is starting Pre-Nursery today! Sadly, Mommy couldn't be there for Lil' Angel on her first day of school as I was hospitalised. However, my little trooper still went to school happily with Grandma and Daddy accompanying her. My brave Lil' Angel did not cry even though there were quite a few kids in her class crying for their parents. WELL DONE Caitlyn!

Mommy Is Sick...

Mommy has been coughing badly for more than a month. Poor Lil' Baby in Mommy's tummy must be bumping around inside...must be so uncomfy!

Mommy decided to visit another doctor this morning for her cough and breathlessness. After the doctor examined Mommy, she asked Daddy to send Mommy to the hospital immediately. Sheesh...we didn't know what the problem was but it must be pretty serious for the Doctor to refer Mommy to A&E.

So off they went to the hospital...and Mommy was hospitalized for the whole week...

It was difficult to diagnose the problem as Mommy is pregnant and cannot do almost all scans and x-ray. But the doctors managed to do an ultrasound and found out that Mommy's right lung was 3/4 filled with fluid i.e. approximately TWO LITRES of fluid! No wonder Mommy has been so breathless! The doctors drew out the fluid from Mommy and carried out tests on the fluid...and after much ding-a-dong...the doctors told Mommy that she has LYMPHOMA...*sob*...

After two years and nine months of breastfeeding, Lil' Angel is weaned! It's so tough to wean her as she is a breastmilk addict! For some time prior to her being completely weaned, she took to the breast before sleeping only. It was almost impossible to get her off my breasts at night! So when I found out that I was pregnant and went for my first visit to the gynaecologist, I asked him to tell Lil' Angel that she can no longer drink Mommy's milk as Mommy will be on medication. Lil' Angel actually listened to him!

Of cos she still tried her luck after that but I applied minty toothpaste on my breasts every night and she complained that it was hot! By the end of the week, she totally gave up! We can all sleep through the night...FINALLY!

We went to catch the Play -Farmer, Fox, Bird & The Cookie @ The Esplanade with Cousin Yue En & Eunice Yi Yi this morning. As we arrived early, Mommy brought me out of the comfy air conditioned theatre to the HOT SUN outside! She claimed that it was a glorious day for photo taking...oh well...
